He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet waters.
Psalm 23:2
This mosaic is the second part of a triptych with Psalm 22 ("Cross") and Psalm 23 ("Hands"). It was designed to illustrate the value of stillness in the midst of personal turmoil.
The river crosses the frame as I had John 7:37-39a in mind.
"On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from them. By this He meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive."
